I'm a wimp when it comes to the cold, so at the first sign of fall, I head indoors to sketch. One of my favorite haunts: Los Gatos Coffee brewing Company. It's always full, often a challenge to find a seat, but that just means lots of people to draw. Notice how everyone of this little group of people I sketched is on a device: a laptop, an iphone....
Lovely sketch that really shows the fall light coming in the window. It is weird how everyone in cafes now are on devices. I walked into a large cafe the other day and started laughing--it looked more like a college library. Every single person of the 50 or so that were there was on a computer, most with piles of books beside them, except for one who was knitting.
