Corpus Christi, Misiones, Argentina

Dip pen and ink and watercolor, 9x12in.
The town of Corpus Christi  is the site of a Jesuit Mission founded in 1622. The main square is quite lovely and the buildings sorrounding it look like from another era. The large polish population of the area is very proud of the canonisation of John Paul II and they placed big posters with his image outside many churches. Pope John Paul II was an outspoken opponent of the death penalty.
