Road Construction Bulldozer

Road Still Under Construction, 5x7", ink & watercolor
I was sitting on the curb just finishing up my sketch when a guy in a truck pulled over and politely asked me to move so he could park in front of his house, where I was sitting. I added the watercolor standing up.

This bulldozer is the last of the equipment from the one mile long road construction project in my neighborhood that took two years to complete.

  1. Two years?? Really, now. It shouldn't take that long to finish a mile of road in San Francisco! Anyway, about your picture, the bulldozer's very much explains a lackadaisical afternoon. Around 1 pm sun, Am I right?

  2. I’m sure there’s a reason why a road construction project takes a long time to be completed. I guess the workers needed to take their time to get the job right and ensure its good quality. By the way, you’ve got quite an impressive drawing there. Good job!
