Celebrate Lake Merritt and participate in the 3-day Urban Sketchers Worldwide Sketchcrawl activities occurring in Barcelona, Spain and around the world that weekend and other Oakland only events:

LAKE MERRITT DRAWS: Talk and display of sketchbooksThe Oakland Public Library is hosting a talk and show of our sketches of Oakland's Lake Merritt.

Come and meet the Urban Sketchers SF Bay Area at the Main Library, Bradley C. Walters Community Room, 125 14th Street, Oakland, CA.
Representatives from local community organizations will discuss Lake highlights, including the Lake revitalization project, historical and architectural landmarks, urban sketching, outdoor sketching tips and art materials.
Sketchbooks, drawings and paintings by Urban Sketchers will be on display throughout the library the entire month of July.
Sunday July 14, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Day 3 of West Coast SketchcrawlWe will meet at the Camron-Stanford House located at 1418 Lakeside Drive, Oakland at 10 AM to get a list of suggested spots to draw, highlighting Lake Merritt’s extraordinary cultural and natural resources. Small groups will sketch together around Lake Merritt and then meet at 1 PM at the Camron- Stanford House to share sketches.
The Oakland sketching event is open to people of all ages and artistic abilities. There are no fees, registration or membership required.
