Catahoula Coffee Roaster & Barista |
While I was having my car smog-checked I walked down the street to Catahoula Coffee in Richmond. The coffee was great and their coffee roaster was an inspiring challenge to draw. I only had a grey, black, yellow and red marker with me but added a bit of watercolor on top of the ink when I got home. That's a burlap bag on the wavey-shaped counter beside the barista who read a soccer magazine when business was slow.
Nice! It looks colorful, attractive, and I imagine great coffee as well.
ReplyDeleteI love that great red! I sketched one of these roasters here in Portland and it was harder than it looked! Good job.
ReplyDeleteDailysketches, you're so right--this one was harder than it looked too and I didn't get it quite right but did the best with what I got.
ReplyDeleteMicaela, thanks! They do roast great coffee but haven't swayed me from my love of Peet's Decaf Major Dickson.
