Red Oak Victory Ship
The SS Red Oak Victory, the last surviving ship built in the Kaiser
Richmond Shipyards during World War II was returned to near where she
was outfitted before her maiden voyage in 1944. The move, while only a short distance, was the culmination of months of planning. The ship does not yet sail under her own power so was towed and winched into her new berth. The move took about 3 hours starting before 6am.
