Late Winter Sketches at Gaumenkitzel and the Peoples Barber and Shop

Gaumenkitzel is one of our favorite restaurants to sketch with its flying carousel horse and friendly staff.

Thank you People Barber and Shop for letting us sketch your establishment. We really had a good time.

Shave and A Haircut

We spent an interesting few hours the other afternoon watching the action at Peoples Barber & Shop in Oakland. Their motto: you are only as good as your last haircut. Besides the customers and barbers, the 100 year old barber chairs were fun to draw. See Ceiny's sketches in the previous post.

Peoples Barber + Shop

Sitting in a hipster barber shop in Uptown Oakland with my sketching pals, daring each other to get the hot towel treatment or the head shave.  This is the kind of place where customers can drink a beer while having a treatment.  Great fun watching the artistry of the stylists.
