The crew at Pastime Hardware remembered us from our previous night
there last year and treated us like honored guests. I found this old wire measuring machine and grabbed a nearby step stool to sit and sketch.

While I sketched this key grinding machine, an employee swept nearby, preparing for closing. Then he showed me his dustpan full of what looked like gold dust from the key machine.
